PTSA Helps Staff Restart ‘First Fridays’

The Garfield Art Room often has the aroma of paint and clay, but not before school on the morning of Oct. 6. Art Teacher Anita West lent her classroom for the restart of “First Fridays” monthly meals for teachers and staff.

The breakfast was organized by Special Education/Social Studies Teacher Brooke Kircher and Theater Teacher Natalie Gress. It was supported by PTSA funding and donated food from more than a dozen parents and caregivers. The options included baked items, fruit, and beverages, and accommodated vegan and gluten-free diets.
