Yes, it’s still January, but the Garfield Community PTSA wants to distribute funding to the classrooms and clubs for spring semester. The spring application deadline is Friday, Feb. 9 and applications can be emailed, or dropped off at the office in the PTSA box. The PTSA awarded almost $24,000 in grants this fall and is proposing to increase the small grants budget to cover more grants this spring. This funding is contingent on membership approval at the January PTSA General Meeting. We do encourage teachers, staff and students to apply for a grant, so the PTSA can continue to support the great work that happens at Garfield!
