School Schedule for 2018-19:

The first day of school for all students is Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018. Classes will begin at 8:55 AM and end at 3:45 PM

Orientation:

9th grade, Wednesday, Aug. 22, 10 AM – 1 PM

10th grade, Thursday, Aug. 23, 2 – 4 PM

11th grade, Thursday, Aug. 23, 11 AM – 1 PM

12th grade, Thursday, Aug. 23, 8 – 10 AM

Student Schedules:

Student 2018-19 schedules will be available on The Source on Sept. 4 at http://ps.seattleschools.org

Course Change Requests: Request change forms are available in the Counseling Office and online at http://garfieldhs.seattleschools.org/services/counseling/CounselingForms/. Course change forms will be available for students who meet the following criteria:

  • Have a hole or are not enrolled in a core grad requirement course (i.e. Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and/or Science)
  • Are enrolled in Running Start and need to drop/move classes
  • 12th grade student who is not currently enrolled in the proper courses to meet grad requirements

One form per student. Change forms for course and/or teacher preferences will not be considered.

Running Start Students: Please contact your counselor, by phone or email, regarding your GHS schedule.

Not Attending Garfield: Notify our registrar or SPS District Enrollment.

Athletics Office:

Athletic Registration forms can be turned in to the Main Office starting July 5 and are due Monday, Aug. 13. Download the Athletic Forms at http://garfieldhs.seattleschools.org/student_activities/athletics/athletic_registration. Be sure to follow the instructions and all the required steps.

Students participating in sports must purchase an ASB sticker prior to turning in Athletic Registration forms, please go to schoolpay.com to purchase the $50 ASB sticker. The receipt should be kept, to show proof of purchase when turning in Athletic Forms. Cash only is accepted when paying at Garfield HS. (NOTE: Athletic paperwork is not accepted if a student has fines. Be sure to check the Source and pay for all fines in cash at Garfield HS).

The Fall Sports season begins on Monday, Aug. 20 (Football begins Wednesday, Aug. 15). If you have any questions about sports, please call the Athletic Secretary at (206) 252-2279. ASB (Associated Student Body) Stickers: Students can support Garfield Activites and save money on school-sponsored events by purchasing a Garfield ASB sticker. Stickers may be purchased for $50 CASH during Orientation or in the Main Office after Sept. 4.
