Summer Credit Retrieval is a free program that has three fundamental goals:
- Academic skill building
- Credit recovery that leads to on-time graduation
- College and career readiness
Students who enroll in Summer Credit Retrieval will retrieve credit for the Language Arts, Mathematics, and/or Social Studies classes that they did not previously pass. They will also participate in college and career readiness activities. Students may enroll in a total of two classes (from different subject matter areas) and earn up to 1.0 credit (.5 per class) toward graduation.
The program will be housed at two sites: South Lake High School and Roosevelt High School. Every attempt will be made to assign students to their first choice location. Classes run from Monday, July 2, through Friday, July 27 (no school July 4). Classes run daily, from Monday through Friday from 9 AM – 12 PM. Period 1 is 9 – 10:25 AM and Period 2 from 10:35 AM to 12 PM. Students who enroll in the program will be provided with King County Metro tickets for the duration of the program to get to and from their school site.
Please complete and return the application to the Head Counselor by Saturday May 19 to be considered for the Summer Credit Retrieval Program.
