Staff Appreciation Week May 5-9

Garfield’s Staff Appreciation Week in 2025 is May 5–9, with a special kickoff on May 2 of the monthly “First Fridays” staff breakfast. The events are organized by the PTSA!

Will YOU help show Garfield teachers, administrators and other staff members just how much they are appreciated?

Based on past years, the “agenda” for the week is expected to include activities such as daily appreciation announcements from GHS student groups, fresh flowers from a local farmer, a coffee cart with breakfast, gift cards for local businesses, delicious lunch, a staff room stocked with snacks and drinks, and more! Details are TBA.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

• Volunteering and food-donation opportunities will be posted in April!
• Interested in helping plan the week? Email Co-Presidents Jennifer Marquardt and Alicia Spanswick at president@garfieldptsa.org.

[We will need donations of purchased or homemade baked goods, salads and desserts, and people to  set up, “stay for the meal” on at least one day, and cleanup.]

If you don’t have the ability to provide food for or volunteer at breakfast or lunch, we always appreciate your financial contribution to the Garfield PTSA Annual Fund. The Annual Fund provides support for staff appreciation efforts throughout the year and your donations will help to ensure a great “end of year” event to get Garfield teachers and staff to the finish line on June 30!
