Treats, fruit needed for June 13 staff breakfast
Hey, families, show your appreciation for Garfield teachers and staff by signing up to donate food for the final 2024-25 “First Friday” monthly breakfast, on June 13.
- If you can’t drop off 7:15-7:30 am on Friday, email Jennifer Marquardt to coordinate a Thursday handoff, or to send her funds to shop/bake for you!
General information about First Fridays
The requested donations include baked treats, savory items and fruit. Especially appreciated: Options for vegan and gluten-free diets. Drop off items in Room 302 (3rd floor, above main entrance) 7:15-7:30 am on the day of the event, OR on Thursday at the home of an event volunteer listed in the signup.

These events were restarted in fall 2023 by Special Education/Social Studies Teacher Brooke Kircher and Theater Teacher Natalie Gress, with an assist from Art Teacher Anita West, who “hosts” in her airy classroom. PTSA funding supplies coffee/tea, but most food is donated — a volunteer signup becomes available 10 days or so before the breakfast.
