Important: Running Start ’24-25 Signups

Garfield counselors will start accepting emails to set up appointments for Fall 2024 Running Start registration on April 15.

Students need to follow the directions listed below carefully and reach out with any questions.

In Running Start, Garfield juniors and seniors take Seattle Central College courses for high school AND college credit.

NEW Running Start Students:

Step 1:

• Complete steps 1 & 2 on the Seattle Central College website

Step 2:

• Read and fill out
  • the GHS Running Start Contract and
  • the Running Start Parent_Memo of Understanding
• • • Read and make sure to get your parent signature on both forms
    • E-mail or bring the form to your appointment
    • You cannot move on the step 3 without completing these forms

Step 3:

• Email your assigned school counselor to set up an appointment

Step 4:

• Continue to steps 3, 4, 5 & 6 on the Seattle Central website.

RETURNING RS students:

• Set up an appointment with your school counselor to complete the EVF
• Email the completed EVF form to runningstart.central@seattlecolleges.edu
