Service Learning Requirement for Graduation

Seattle Public Schools requires students to complete 60 hours of service learning before graduation. Through service-learning, students apply their academic skills and knowledge in real-life settings.

Please note: For the Class of 2023, the District expects all seniors will make a good faith effort to complete the 60 hours. However, no seniors will be prevented from graduating if they do not complete all 60 hours. Students that do not get all 60 hours can meet with their counselors in the spring to complete a waiver form that will still allow the student to graduate.
