 Spring Soiree a Success!

Thank you to all who participated in our 2022 Spring Soiree both online and in person. At the event on May 7, we loved sharing the evening with teachers, staff, students, and family who share a vision of a brighter Garfield.  Our student musicians filled the room at the Murano with beautiful sound, and we could not get over the view of downtown Seattle from the top of a skyscraper.  Dr. Hart rallied us to support Garfield not just with money but also with volunteering and mentorship, and we are so grateful to be able to re-enter the school and help build a stronger connection with the Garfield community.

About that money: your contributions, through the auction and individual donations, helped us raise over $92,000 to support our school and our families, blowing way past our goal of $75,000.  Admissions and in-kind donations covered the cost of the event, so almost $80,000 of that total will go directly to teacher stipends and appreciation, tutoring, family support, small grants, and much more. We are humbled by your support and the community spirit we felt in that room and from online supporters of the event as well.  We are grateful for your trust and your commitment. If you missed the opportunity to participate in the event, please help support our efforts with a gift to the Annual Fund Annual Fund – Garfield High School PTSA (garfieldptsa.org)
