Teacher Appreciation Week May 8-12

Even though it really should be every day, this year the official Teacher Appreciation Week is May 8–12. Help us show Garfield Teachers and Staff just how much they are appreciated!

The agenda for the week will include daily appreciation announcements from GHS student groups, fresh flowers from a local farmer, a coffee cart with breakfast, gift cards for local businesses, delicious lunch, a staff room stocked with snacks and drinks, and more!

The Garfield PTSA will provide the “main course” for breakfast (Wednesday, May 10) and lunch (Friday, May 12), but we need donations of purchased or homemade baked goods, salads and desserts to round out the menu and provide teachers and staff with two great meals during the week.

If you have time to volunteer in person that week, there are a few people needed for set up, “stay for the meal,” and break down at breakfast and lunch.

If you don’t have the ability to provide food for or volunteer at breakfast or lunch, we always appreciate your financial contribution to the Garfield PTSA Annual Fund. The Annual Fund provides support for teacher appreciation efforts throughout the year and your donations will help to ensure a great “end of year” event to get Garfield teachers and staff to the finish line on June 30!
